Ben Affleck was born on August 15th, 1972 in Berkley CA, and soon moved with his parents to the affluent community of Cambridge, MA. He began his acting career very early by doing commercials for Burger King before the age of 10. Along with childhood friend, Matt Damon, Ben worked with a drama group in their school that won an award from the Boston Globe. Ben received his first true acting credit in the 1981 drama, Dark End of the Street. He worked sparsely throughout the next few years, landing bit parts in movies like Field of Dreams and tv shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In 1997, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon wrote the screenplay for Good Will Hunting, starring Ben, Matt, and Robin Williams, and earned Ben his first Academy Award. Ben is married to actress Jennifer Garner with whom he has a daughter.
