Drew Barrymore Continues the Legend

Drew Barrymore is heir to the acting throne as the grand-daughter of legend John Barrymore. She first came to the big screen in 1980 in the movie Altered States with William Hurt. However, it was her portrayal in Steven Spielberg’s hit film, E.T. Drew Barrymore became a huge star nearly overnight, and by the age of 14 was known to doing drugs and drinking heavily. She continued acting, but made a serious comeback in 1992’s movie, Poison Ivy. From there, she showed the world that the Barrymore name was still synonymous with great acting. Her comedic talents have paired her with the likes of Adam Sandler, Luke Wilson, and Brittany Murphy. Drew Barrymore also worked as a producer of the Charlie’s Angels movies and has won a People’s Choice Award for her work on the movie, 50 First Dates with Adam Sandler.
