Will Smith was born on September 25th, 1968 as Willard Christopher Smith Jr. in Philadelphia PA. Will Smith was always a charismatic child, and learned to use his gifts at an early age, earning the nickname of Prince while in school. Will began rapping at the age of 12, and met his best friend and constant sidekick, DJ Jazzy Jeff, at the age of 16. Will’s first hit came in 1986 with the rap “Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble”, and the duo won their first Grammy in 1989. In 1990, Will Smith began working on the sitcom, The Fresh of Bel-Air, which ran for 6 seasons, and made this young man a star. His first featured film came in 1996 in the form of Independence Day. Will has been married twice and has 3 children. Currently, Will is working on the film Hancock which co-stars Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.
